With 2025 drawing to a close, we pause to acknowledge the blessings and milestones of the year. Harley Dykstra, as a team of teams, has continued to lift its work capacity across all service areas, with clients making increased use of our multi-disciplinary, one stop shop approach.
This year has seen the team work across larger, more complex projects, supporting developers, government, land owners, and communities across the South West, Albany, and beyond.
Project Management
2025 saw Harley Dykstra complete works for more than 100 lots at Nautic Estate in Two Rocks (read more here), with titles issued and all lots sold during the year. Construction has also commenced on the next stage of the estate, comprising over 100 lots, scheduled for completion in the first half of 2026.
Across the South West and Albany regions, our project management teams have worked closely with developers and government land providers to meet strong residential land demand. This has included planning, management, and surveying of estates in Treendale, Australind, Roelands, Dalyellup, Boyanup, Dardanup, Busselton, Dunsborough, Augusta, Albany, Denmark, and Bremer Bay.
With developer expectations at high levels, the team has focused on bringing titled lots to market efficiently and maintaining processes to support timely delivery. Our work in the licensed surveying space continues to benefit from strong relationships with government, service authorities, and Landgate.
Town Planning
In 2025, our South West planning team has advanced the Tuart Brook Structure Plan, located north of Dalyellup. Covering over 90 hectares, the plan proposes approximately 900 residential lots, along with mixed uses and community purpose spaces.
This project, a joint venture between DevelopmentWA and private landholders, is progressing toward final assessment and approval anticipated during 2026. Our planning team has worked closely with government stakeholders to ensure the plan aligns with regional planning requirements, supporting the creation of a residential community that meets both developer and community expectations.
Surveying
2025 has been another solid year for our surveying teams. The Great Southern, Metro, and South West teams have supported a wide range of commercial construction, land development, and public infrastructure projects. Notably, the Bussell Highway Duplication reached completion and opened this year, providing a valuable asset to road users across the South West. Being part of these extensive projects and contributing to their successful delivery has been particularly rewarding.

The team has continued to innovate in survey technology, with further investigation into mobile laser scanning techniques, which are expected to play an important role in the future of public infrastructure surveying. Attendance at the Trimble Dimensions conference in Brisbane was a highlight for the survey team, offering valuable insights and opportunities to explore emerging developments in the field.

Residential Land Across the South West and Albany Regions
Residential land demand across the South West and Albany regions has remained strong throughout 2025. Harley Dykstra teams have continued to support developers and home occupiers in a market where housing delivery is under pressure.
Our involvement spans planning, management, and surveying across estates in Treendale, Australind, Roelands, Dalyellup, Boyanup, Dardanup, Busselton, Dunsborough, Augusta, Albany, Denmark, and Bremer Bay, working with both private developers and government land providers. By efficiently bringing titled lots to market and maintaining strong relationships with government, service authorities, and Landgate, Harley Dykstra continues to support the delivery of land in a timely and effective manner.
Thank You
The Directors and team at Harley Dykstra extend their sincere thanks to all clients, sub-consulting teams, and colleagues in various state and local government agencies for the collaboration and work completed throughout 2025. We wish you all the very best for the Christmas and New Year festive season and look forward to working with you again in 2026.
Warm regards,
Seb, Dale, and Henry,
on behalf of the Harley Dykstra Team
