Any subdivision of land in Western Australia requires approval from the West Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) before it can be implemented, and before new titles can be created.
Harley Dykstra’s Town Planning team has extensive experience and knowledge in designing and preparing subdivision applications, whether for a two-lot subdivision, a two-hundred lot subdivision, or more.
Subdivision applications need to be prepared in a format that has been stipulated by the West Australian Planning Commission. They also require careful consideration of design requirements and policies as well as various other inputs including traffic, servicing, bushfire, and other specialist inputs.

The subdivision approval process commonly takes at least three months for a decision to be made by the WAPC. During this time, our town planners will work closely with state and local government planners to negotiate the most favourable conditions on the subdivision approval, to ensure that the implementation of the subdivision is most practical and feasible.
