The Revival of the Old Butter Factory, Denmark

Harley Dykstra was engaged to provide detailed survey information for the redevelopment of the iconic Denmark Old Butter Factory, helping support the transformation of this heritage building into the vibrant destination it is today.
The project was led by our Denmark-based surveyor, Anthony, who completed a detailed survey of the building and surrounding site, including surveying of key areas to capture precise existing as-built data to be incorporated into the Architectural design. Anthony also assisted with elements of the site design and construction process, helping provide the information required throughout the redevelopment.
Originally built in 1926, the Denmark Old Butter Factory has played an important role in the region’s history. After decades of different uses, the building has now been carefully restored and reopened as Butter Factory Studios, featuring a contemporary art gallery showcasing South Coast artists alongside Mrs Jones Café.
Projects like this highlight the importance of accurate spatial data when breathing new life into heritage buildings and creating spaces for future generations to enjoy.
